The cannabis budtenders at my town’s only medical dispensary are clueless

I don’t expect employees of every single business to be experts about their work.

It’s perfectly normal to have a specialized skill, even if it means stocking shelves at a grocery store.

As long as there is a person available who can help me with my questions, dealing with clueless employees doesn’t typically bother me. You need to have at least one person in the store—supervisor, manager, or not—who can answer questions for customers who walk in the door. Otherwise, I will walk out and rarely consider returning in the future. This sorry fact is becoming a norm at the only medical marijuana dispensary in my small town. When this place first opened, the staff was young, excited, and fairly knowledgeable about the products sold in the weed store. Because of a negative work environment and little room for upward mobility, most of the first generation of budtenders quit to work for other cannabis stores in neighboring cities or left the marijuana industry altogether. The new budtenders at my city’s only medical marijuana dispensary are worse than ignorant. They don’t know anything about the vaporizer cartridges, the flower products, the solventless extracts, or the cannabis edibles. I asked the budtender last night if the store had any all-in-one oil vaporizers with cannabis-derived terpenes inside. After he handed me two different tubes with oil containing botanical terpenes inside. I gave up after asking hima third time, he just doesn’t understand what I’m talking about! Your OG Kush oil pen might have oil extracted from Oregon Lemons and terpenes pulled from fruit to “mimic” the profile of classic OG Kush. It’s not the same thing as a full spectrum oil with strain-specific, cannabis derived terpenes.

The CBD products were great

Never having had the actual chance to purchase marijuana products or to go into a marijuana dispensary. My very first time in a recreational marijuana dispensary was a pretty massive surprise! I don’t unquestionably know what I expected to see in the recreational marijuana store, but it wasn’t what I saw. I saw a vast array of marijuana products that had my mind totally boggled… Alongside the marijuana products I also saw a large party of CBD products for sale. I knew CBD came from marijuana, although I guess it never truly hit me that it was marijuana minus the THC which was the Psychotropic substance. Nearly everything that you saw that had THC in it, was also in the CBD form. I was able to purchase tablets for my severe headaches that didn’t have aspirin or acetaminophen. I was able to purchase lotions for my dry skin that was made from CBD. I was talking to the budtender on duty about the various CBD products. She explained that CBD was marijuana however, it contained little to no THC. All of the healing properties were still present. I was able to choose multiple weird types of edibles including a couple of packages of milk chocolate that had varying levels of THC plus CBD in them. I’m not sure what I expected when I used these particular products, although I didn’t expect the great taste. I won’t say I was disappointed, because I definitely wasn’t. I will certainly return to the marijuana store for more CBD products in the future. At a single point, I am even considering buying some recreational marijuana to share with my wifey.

The application preparation service warned me about the time frame

When I decided to sell legitimate marijuana, I had to file for an application to grow and sell the cannabis plants.

  • I was already growing and selling cannabis at the time, but I wanted to run a legitimate business.

I was tired of worrying about the police and the FBI. The end of the year was coming soon and then it would be time for the laws to change. I wanted to be ready, so I contacted a couple of people to help with the process. One person referred me to an application preparation service that consults on these projects. They helped me fill out all of the paperwork and didn’t charge me anything. They also gave me some interesting reading materials that were helpful. The booklet listed several different companies to help me with advertising and packaging. When I filled out the paperwork and we sent it to the state, the application preparation service warned me that it was probably going to take six or eight weeks before I would hear anything at all. Since it was getting close to the end of the year, I was worried that I wouldn’t have my licensing before January 1st. I contacted the state approval board on December 16th and they told me that my application was still being processed. Thank goodness I received the finalization and licensing in the mail on the 28th. It makes me wonder if they didn’t even look at my application until I called on the 16th. It was oddly strange how the time frame seemed to coincide.

The cannabis shop driver went to the wrong hotel

My friends and I went to the city to see a fight.

The main event was a heavyweight belt fight and there were a couple of additional sites that we were excited to see.

Instead of driving home after the fight, we stayed in a hotel. After all of the excitement from the fight, my friends and I weren’t ready to go to sleep. We decided to order some items from a cannabis shop located a few blocks away from the hotel. The cannabis shop had free delivery, as long as you were within 2 miles of the shop. My friends and I ordered a couple of pre-rolled marijuana cigarettes. We didn’t want to buy a lot of bulk recreational marijuana products, but the pre-rolled marijuana cigarettes were perfect. We placed the order online and a person from the store called a few minutes later to confirm our order. They didn’t have any of that OG Kush pre-rolls that we ordered, but we replaced them with a different Indica strain. The bartender on the phone told us that the cannabis shop driver would be leaving shortly and to expect the guy named Josh in 15 minutes or less. My friends and I waited, but the cannabis shop driver did not show up. We finally received a phone call from the driver. He was outside of our hotel door knocking. We knew that was impossible, because we didn’t hear any sounds coming from the hallway. That’s when the driver realized that he was at the wrong hotel. He went to the Day’s Inn instead of the Radisson Inn. It’s an easy mistake since they are located directly adjacent to one another.
