You can’t just smoke cannabis when I hire you for work

One time per week, I have someone come to our dwelling to perform sod care services! For the past several years, my hubby and I have been using the same sod care service.

The owner of the supplier is an older gentleman, but he doesn’t work especially much anymore.

Now he has a younger crew to handle most of the sod service work. One of the men is his child and I have talked with that guy quite a few times. The men who were here to work on the sod the other year were weird faces that I have not seen in my life. One of the men happened to be smoking a cannabis joint in the backyard while he was trimming the hedges. I actually double checked to make sure it wasn’t a cigarette. I walked out back and I could smell the disappointing stench of marijuana in the air. To be perfectly honest, I couldn’t easily believe the guy was smoking cannabis in my backyard… He did not even blink or bat an eye when I stepped out back. After the crew finished with my sod, I made the choice to call the owner of the supplier. He was absolutely stunned when he heard the news and he apologized profusely. He promised to get to the bottom of the drawback. I never saw that guy again, so I assumed the owner of the sod service supplier had no choice but to fire him. I don’t have any issues at all with cannabis and I recognize it is everyone’s individual right to use the plant. I don’t recognize it should be used on the job though.
