Indica strains are more popular

I wish I could find a good sativa to help me during my hectic work days at home.

Everybody likes something different, especially with alcohol. When I was in college, I was a beer fan, my roommate drank liquor, my girlfriend drank sweetened vodka, and the friends of ours living down the hall bought hard cider and hard lemonade more often than not. And of course, I can’t forget the guys that regularly threw parties with boxed wine that was sourced fairly cheaply. There were enough parties with kegs or bottles of liquor, but there was usually some kind of selection to choose from. That’s why I stuck with beer because the effects in my mind were the most desirable. It felt like a “full spectrum” buzz opposed to hard liquor that feels different. Oddly enough, there are also different subcategories of cannabis strains that determine the expected effects, roughly speaking. Usually sativas are used for mental stimulation and indicas are favored for their calming effects. Any mix of strains from those categories usually results in a hybrid, but not always. If I stop by my local dispensary on a random day, there are always more indica strains available regardless of whether or not you’re purchasing cannabis flower products, capsules, oils, or tinctures. I wish I could find a good sativa to help me during my hectic work days at home. Since indicas usually yield more buds than sativas, it’s economically pragmatic to grow more of them than their stimulating counterparts. Another reason they’re so popular is due to how some people react to sativa strains by contrast. I know that I’m in the minority when it comes to racy sativas, because some complain about too much anxiety while I just feel energy and euphoria.

I’m finding many purple strains of marijuana

This is why some outdoor grow operations up north result in darker buds because the different temperatures are dropping right before the crops are ready for harvest

It’s hard to deny bag-appeal with cannabis flower products. When we purchased it in college, we asked the supplier to see the bag so we could look with our eyes and smell with our noses. The smell is important because stale weed is more likely to have diminished effects from the breakdown of terpenes over time. I felt fortunate to find batches that stunk up the house from the sheer aroma of the terpenes. That’s when you know that you’ve got a great batch of marijuana on hand, especially with quality being so hit and miss on the black market. Thankfully I can get all of my marijuana nowadays from a legal cannabis dispensary. Since we’re able to look at the flower buds before purchasing them, I have become fascinated by the many strains of purple cannabis. Recently I saw a dark purple batch of Runtz and a bright purple batch of Slurricane. When I inquired with the dispensary manager, he explained that some strains have the genetics for purple buds regardless of how they’re grown. However, he explained to me that some varieties of purple cannabis can be given those visual attributes simply by messing around with the air temperature around the plant while it’s in the flowering stage. This is why some outdoor grow operations up north result in darker buds because the different temperatures are dropping right before the crops are ready for harvest. Honestly, I care less about how my marijuana looks and more about how it smells and what the effects are like once I vaporize it and inhale.
