A bad trip put her off cannabis forever

In college I knew a girl named Noreen. I was roommates with my younger sister at that point. I worked and she went to college. Noreen was my sister’s best friend, and spent almost every night at our apartment. My sister and I were both big-time pot smokers. Not just every single night, but several grams worth every single night! We hosted some epic parties, and spent several hours a day passing a joint back and forth. Noreen always smoked cannabis with us, until one night something crazy happened and she had to stop. Along with cannabis, we also dabbled with pills, mescaline, ecstasy, peyote, and LSD. Noreen did a huge dose of LSD one night and it must have drastically affected her brain chemistry, because after that she could never smoke cannabis again. Something about the THC in cannabis would trigger the chemicals in her brain, and make her think she was tripping on LSD again. This made cannabis something intense and scary instead of being a calming influence. Noreen couldn’t even be in the same room with us when we smoked cannabis, because the secondhand smoke would make her all twitchy and weird. Noreen was still a cool person after that, but because I was smoking so much cannabis she stopped hanging around very often. I learned a lesson myself, because I never knew that LSD could change the way your brain responds to cannabis. Just to be on the safe side I never took acid again, because I love smoking cannabis too much to ever lose it!
