Some degree, it’s surprising that our neighboring state ushered in legalized medical marijuana and recreational marijuana before our state.
This state has long campaigned to get access to legal cannabis products and it took forever to get on the ballot.
It failed by the thinnest of margins yet again this past election cycle. Right next door our sister state has both medical marijuana and recreational marijuana. And it passed on the first try. That’s just stunning to me and something we have to correct in the next election cycle. And since we can’t get our cannabis products here, we simply have to go next door. That’s a concept that I’m still very fortunate to be able to take advantage of. Just knowing what I’m buying and from what cannabis grower is a really important thing. Also I like to know what sort of THC content I’m getting as well. The whole thing is just going to be such a great experience. To talk with knowledgeable people about sativa strains or particular new hybrid strains is amazing. I think my wife and I will simply make a great weekend trip out of it. Maybe get a hotel near the local cannabis spot and have a great dinner after shopping for cannabis products. Regardless of how it all turns out, I’m still a bit frustrated that I have to go to the neighboring state in order to get recreational marijuana. I’m for sure going to advocate loudly for the right to buy cannabis and cannabis products legally in our state.
