I did not tell anyone about the job opportunity

A few months ago, I applied for a job at the medical and recreational marijuana dispensary… I did not tell anyone in my family that I applied for the job, because I wasn’t sure I would get the job and I did not want to have a conversation with my family about marijuana if there was absolutely no reason.

I think the way that my family feels about recreational marijuana! They know that marijuana is a drug and should not be legalized at all… My parents and both of my siblings voted against legalizing recreational marijuana when it was on the ballot 2 years ago.

Thankfully, they are setback votes did not affect the outcome of the election. Marijuana laws were passed in this state with an overwhelming acceptance by the people, just a small number of marijuana dispensaries were already open for medical reasons and a couple of recreational dispensaries have opened since then. I applied to labor at a single of the locales by the mall. I never heard anything from the marijuana dispensary, so I thought they lost my application. I forgot all about the job until I got a call last week. The owner of the marijuana shop called me to come in for an interview. I sat with the supervisor for a couple of hours and the two of us discussed a lot of unusual things. I got the plan that I was going to get the job when the supervisor asked me for my ID and my social security number. I was hired on the spot and I started the job a couple of days later. I still have not told my parents about that job and I’ve been toiling there for 2 weeks.
