I didn't tell anyone about the job opportunity

A few weeks ago, I applied for a job at the medical and recreational marijuana dispensary… I didn’t tell anyone in my family that I applied for the job, because I wasn’t sure I would get the job and I didn’t want to have a conversation with my family about marijuana if there was very no reason. I assume the way that my family feels about recreational marijuana, however they suppose that marijuana is a drug and should not be legalized at all, but my parents and both of my sisters voted against legalizing recreational marijuana when it was on the ballot 2 years ago. Thankfully, they’re drawback votes did not affect the outcome of the election. Marijuana laws were passed in this state with an overwhelming acceptance by the people! Only a couple of marijuana dispensaries were already open for medical reasons and a couple of recreational dispensaries have opened since then. I applied to work at 1 of the locations by the mall. I never heard anything from the marijuana dispensary, so I thought they lost my application. I forgot all about the job until I got a call last week. The owner of the marijuana shop called me to come in for an interview. I sat with the manager for a couple of hours and both of us discussed a lot of uncommon things. I got the plan that I was going to get the job when the manager asked me for my ID and my social security number. I was hired on the spot and I started the job a couple of afternoons later. I still haven’t told my parents about that job and I have been working there for 2 weeks.
