I would like to think that I have a pretty good nose.
I can distinguish between smells that are bad and good and I can usually tell where an odor is coming from.
One thing that I can recognize for sure is the smell of recreational marijuana. Recreational marijuana has an odor that is very easy to recognize. I smoked weed when I was a kid and I still use recreational marijuana today. None of my kids are old enough to use recreational marijuana. They are 15 and 13. I do not keep any supplies inside of my home and therefore there is absolutely no way for the kids to get into anything that is ours. I was surprised when I came home and I smelled recreational marijuana in my home. I immediately went outside and the kids were hanging out with some friends. A small marijuana outside, but the smell was very faint. I immediately asked the kids if someone was smoking outside. The kids started saying no and they all agreed. They all said No at the exact same time and they were very insistent that they had no idea why the house would smell like that. At that point, I realized that they were using marijuana at the house. I told the kids that it was time for their friends to go home. Later while we were having dinner, I brought up marijuana again and I told the kids that I knew someone had been smoking. I didn’t ask them for the answer to my questions, but I told the kids that I better not ever smell marijuana in this house again.
