Instead of going back home for winter break this year, my friends and I decided to go skiing and snowboarding.
My parents were disappointed at first, but then they decided to do something special on their own for the holidays.
They went to the islands for some tropical sun and beach. My friends and I rented a winter cabin about an hour away from our favorite skiing destination. The place was in great shape with a fireplace and central heat. Before we drove all the way out to the country, my friends and I went to a cannabis dispensary to pick up some products for our weekend of skiing. Recreational Cannabis is not legal in the state where we live and go to school, but we visited a state where recreational and medical cannabis is 100% legal. My friends and I purchased different items from the stop, so we could try everything while we were there that week. The first pre-roll that we smoked was a dried marijuana flower joint infused with cold water hash and distillate. My friends and I barely got through the two gram blunt. We thought it might not be enough for all of us, but we could have stopped smoking the blunt halfway and we all still would have been high. It was a lot of fun to try recreational weed during our winter break and my friends and I enjoyed all of our time outdoors and inside the cabin. Although I missed seeing my mom and dad for Christmas, my friends and I had an exceptional winter break.
