The delivery guy was a bit short on his stack

Friday night is usually the busiest day of the week for delivery orders at the cannabis shop. I’ve been a delivery driver for the past two years. I have a newer car that gets excellent gas mileage. On a four hour shift, I can easily make $50 in tips. During the weekend days, that number is even greater. Last Friday night, we were incredibly busy and it was raining heavily outside. A lot of people were using the cannabis delivery service. I had three orders in my car when I drove downtown to the college campus to deliver $100 worth of cannabis supplies. The apartment was on the third floor, but we cannot leave our car unattended. When I arrived, I called the telephone number of the customer and I told the guy that I was there. He didn’t want to come to the car, but I insisted that I was not going to leave my vehicle. The guy came down to the car a few minutes later with a handful of cash. It was mostly ones and fives, so I took a moment to count it out. The guy was $13 short. He honestly expected me to give him the cannabis supplies even though he didn’t have enough money. I told the customer that I could contact the store and cancel some of his order or I could leave with the whole thing. He still tried to reason with me and get me to pay the remaining money for the cannabis transaction. The customer finally agreed to give me the $87 and we got rid of one of the pre-rolls in the order.
