I had a prescription for medical marijuana, but starting at the first of last year recreational marijuana was legalized. I no longer had to pay any fees to the state for a medical marijuana card, but it does help me save on the state and excise taxes each time I make a purchase at the dispensary. Marijuana can be very expensive still, even though it is legalized and there are more places to buy the products. I like to go to the dispensary when they have sales. The dispensary near me has sales on Wednesdays and saturdays. I have to take the bus to get to the dispensary, but it is a lot cheaper than taking an uber. I took an Uber one day when I happened to miss the bus and it cost me five times as much as it would to take the bus and even if I gave the bus driver a dollar tip. I had to go on that specific day when there was a sale, because the only time they have sales is Wednesdays and Saturdays. On Wednesdays all of the dried marijuana flower is 20% off and on Saturdays all of the marijuana concentrates are on sale for 20% off. As long as I can get a good deal on all of the products that I want and need, then I can save money for other things that are necessary as well like lights, heat, and rent. I have to get a new car soon too and that means I have to start saving. The more money I can save in other places, the more money I can put in my bank account for the car.
