A lot of basic complications can keep a plane from getting off the ground. It might be something as an electrical or mechanical complication, or it could be as simple as a lost piece of luggage. It could be a major issue with the central heating or the plumbing. I’ve never certainly been on a flight with a lot of issues until a few weeks ago. I was on a red-eye flight on my way back beach apartment from a huge company meeting. The flight was several hours long and I was trying to get a little sleep so I could drive to the beach apartment after the flight. I still had several minutes of driving after I arrived at the airport so I didn’t want to waste any time getting back home. Sadly, the flight was grounded when someone was smoking marijuana in the lavatory. I didn’t smell marijuana smoke, but 1 of the flight attendants got a complaint from someone standing up front. The guy told me that they could smell marijuana coming from the lavatory. The flight attendant shut the lavatory and evaluated the area. She must have found marijuana or something else that was quite alarming, because all of us had to land 2 minutes ahead of schedule. Our flight was delayed and got grounded and they took a guy off of the plane in handcuffs. Of course there are cameras all around the plane to catch every guy going in and out of the lavatory. I never thought about it in the past, but I’m quite sure that is how they figured out who was smoking marijuana in the lavatory on the plane.
