Many basic complications can keep a flight from taking off the ground. It might be something such as electrical or mechanical complications, or it could be as simple as a lost piece of luggage. It could be a big issue with the heating or even the plumbing. I’ve never certainly been on a flight with too many complications until a couple of weeks ago. I was on a red-eye flight on my way back to my current home from a 2-month corporate meeting. The flight was 4 hours long and I was trying to get some rest so I could drive to my current home after the flight. I still had 2 hours of driving after I arrived to the airport and I didn’t want to waste any time getting back home. Alas, the flight was grounded when someone was smoking marijuana in the bathroom. I didn’t smell any marijuana, however one of the flight attendants got a complaint from someone standing up front. The lady said that they could smell marijuana smoke coming from the bathroom. The flight attendant closed the bathroom and cordoned off the area. She must have found marijuana or something else that was alarming, because the other passengers and I needed to land 2 hours ahead of schedule. Our flight was delayed and grounded and they took a woman off of the plane in cuffs. Of course there are cameras all over the plane to catch every lady going in and out of the plane’s bathroom. I never thought about it in the past, however I am sure that is how they figured out who had been smoking marijuana in the bathroom on the airplane.
