Downtown there has been an old bank building for at least 150 years.
- For the last 15 years, the bank has been vacant.
No one has been in or out of the building at all. Moss, ivy, and trees have overgrown the outside of the building. I like to take a walk downtown and there is a nice trail that goes right past the old bank building. A couple of months ago I noticed that someone removed all of the trees and vines from the building. The next week I noticed there were people inside of the building working. I was very intrigued to find out what was inside of the old bank vault. I started to do some research and I looked online at all of the civil documents. Everything that has to go through the courthouse is actually listed online and the public has access to almost everything. I was able to find out that a West Coast marijuana company bought the building. The marijuana company has several different dispensaries on the west coast. I found out that the marijuana company was going to open a brand new dispensary in that building. The new business is going to be in a really cool building and I can’t wait to see what the dispensary will look like. It looks like they have a lot of work to do before the dispensary will be able to open for business. I keep walking by the building week after week to see the changes and one day there will be an open for business sign.
