The shipment was delayed at the supplier

Three days before the grand opening of this medical pot store and the shipment for the items are delayed.

I got the call this morning and I have been overwhelmed since then.

I can’t think about anything except the delay. It couldn’t have happened at the worst time. We have all of our in-house branded products ready, but that won’t fill the shelves. We have about five thousand dollars worth of cannabis items ordered from local shops and suppliers. Everything is coming on a big truck that is delayed. I am going crazy trying to figure out what to do and my boss keeps saying don’t worry about it. If we don’t have any medical pot supplies, there won’t be much to celebrate on grand opening day. We have a lot of events scheduled for that day. I called three different vendors and they are sending food trucks to the location. We hired a DJ to play music on the patio all morning. We also have a free giveaway every hour. As long as you have your medical cannabis card, you can qualify for any or all of the freebies. The sale and grand opening has been advertised for a month, so there is no way to cancel or postpone the event. I really hope my boss is right when she says not to worry. If Wednesday arrives and we have no stock, I won’t be the one trying to figure out how to fix it. Of course, I will still be the person to deal with all of the angry customers and patients.
